I assume he started drinking at 8.30 on his birthday and then had a fight round about tea time?

Dockle being the venue aside, that's actually a pretty impressive effort.
I pulled together a virtual Cruise last week for my wife (it was her 40th and we were due to go on one next month), including formal Captain's Table effort for dinner (Tux was worn). That was an exhausting day, but something to remember for years to come.

Spent couple of hours in a park with a mate this afternoon knocking back some cans, lovely.
Took me back to my teenage years.

So pleased to hear that! Like BO, I'd sort of wondered but hadn't wanted to post asking again in case the news was bad. So pleased it isn't. Back to those 5ks around Queens Park then?
Unfortunately, a few years ago I lost the energy to run 10K's and half marathons ( I'm 78), but like before I had the virus, I still enjoy jogging about a mile most days.

Hats off to you Norm as jogging can be really hard as we all get older and for some cycling is a better option

Did you brush or rol them and what paint you using Dulux and brushed. Never tried rolling gloss, not that I could on the bannisters.

Dulux and brushed. Never tried rolling gloss, not that I could on the bannisters. Banisters are a nightmare and Dukux has always been a quality paint

'kin 'ell if I can still get out running "most days" when I'm 78 and have only had to pack in running 10ks a few years before that, I'll be absolutely delighted. And FWIW I'm sure that maintaining that level of exercise/fitness played no small part in your ability to fight off this horrible disease. More power to your elbow sir!

Thank you sir for your kind comments. I think you might be right, as I have never stopped running and/or walking fair distances after I played local football up to about age forty. As you're interested, my best 10k time was 38 minutes 14 seconds at Marlborough, and 1hour 31 minutes for Swindon half marathon. I am disappointed I can't do long distance any more, but as you say it might have helped save my life as my lungs and breathing are quite good.

they are very impressive 10k and half marathons times, Normy. As Paul has said, keeping fit throughout your life is highly likely to have helped your immune system fight off the virus. I can do a 23 min 5k which isn't too bad but you'd be practically lapping me at your peak I think!
