I think the extra seats were put in during the promotion season in 92/93.

The front of the stand was opened for the live game on ITV vs Derby County on December 6th 1992.

I am sure I saw a picture (possible in Matticks book) of the new stand being built behind the previous stand so I wonder whether they did run out of cash and couldn't finish once they removed the original?

Must have been a similar story at Ashton Gate with the Dull man stand.

Harold Fleming's old house up for sale in Old Town, Swindon. Let's all save up & buy it as an STFC museum with Reg as curator.

The new extension was rather sparsely populated.

Oh we had a lot of them back then.

In the promotion season under Hoddle we had 1 crowd of under 6k and 7 home games under 8k. And vs Torquay in the LC we only managed just over 3k for the home leg, and that was only 2 weeks after winning down at Plainmoor 6-0.

Me and My wife work in different rooms but are only about 10 feet apart. And long story short, her weekly managers call was just interrupted by me farting
