It’s the same for all clubs. .

Not necessarily so....

For example we've lost more Tuesday night games this season than the other 6 clubs in the top 7 added together.

That was my point. Whatever the logistics around playing on Tuesday evenings affects all clubs - if there is an actual effect at all. Whatever it is, or isn’t, it ain’t doing us any favours.

Wow that's brutal. Such a clear deficiency.

We won 3 Tuesday night away games in 2014-15.
Two were in Sat - Tue - Sat sequences and the other was Sat -Tue then a break.
That was a good team but didn't strike me as the fittest that we've ever had. Maybe they did something different in the preparation?
Who knows.

Indeed. But are we any more affected by it than other teams over, say, a 5-year period? And I'd differentiate between midweek away games and home games. There's clearly a difference there.

Maybe, as we’re top of the league, we should concentrate on the fact that we win more Saturday games than anyone else.

Doesn’t really matters what day we win or lose on as long as the end effect is getting promoted. At this moment in time losing 3 games on a Tuesday this season still sees us top of the league.

Stop trying to pick holes in what has bee, so far, successful season.

Good shout. The stat that really matters is whether we acrue more points than 21 other teams by the end of the season, not when we acquire them.

Did some quick number crunching over lunch, and here's our Midweek 7.45pm record since returning to the fourth tier (i.e. last 3 seasons):

League - P 21, W 5, D 3, L 13, F 22, A 33
League Home - P 10, W 3, D 1, L 6
League Away - P 11, W 2, D 2, L 7 (2-0 W at Forest Green on TV and 1-0 W at Stevenage, both under Flitcroft)

We've also played 14 midweek 7.45pm cup games in the last 3 seasons and our record reads:

P 14, W 4, D 0, L 10 (the wins coming against Wycombe, Bristol Rovers, Newport and Plymouth - all in Leasing.Com trophy!)

All in all, whether it's "hoo-doo" or something systemic at STFC, it isn't good!

Worried about this one could be a Banana skin. Still feel we need to find a place for Isgrove in the team.

Not sure it can be classed as a banana skin when they're in the top 6... just a very tough game.

I agree, the bottom line is that we win this league or at minimum get out of it again via the autos.

Wasn’t the 2-0 away win against FGR on TV a Friday night game? Do you regard that as a midweek game or an early kickoff weekend game?
If the latter, the stat looks even worse.
