I’ve just purchased the game on Tuesday and was wondering can I watch it directly on my smart tv or does it need to be through a device? The email says to download an app but they don’t appear when I search on my tv but I can use the internet and log in to the Swindon website through it.

It won't work on the TV directly, you have to use a laptop and link up with a HDMI cable. It will look like it will work directly, using a browser, but the video won't load. I am not aware of any Apps that work on Smart TV's yet.

if be surprised if you get it working directly on your smart TV browser. try playing a video from the I player bit of the site.
even android TVs usually restrict which apps can be downloaded to it compared to a phone or tablet.
so I reckon you'll have two choices.
1.Chromecast to the TV from a laptop (if you have Chromecast). it works ok but I found it slightly jerky though you do adjust. As Rob says - might be better through hdmi
2 watch on a laptop (via browser) or phone/tablet (app)
not an expert though. anyone else?

I'm lazy so I chromecast to my TV via Android box. The quality isn't as good as HDMI but it does the job.

It's a widget that you plug into the HDMI input of the telly that allows you to show video from your phone/laptop on the TV. But if you don't have HDMI inputs, it's not going to help you.

I tried to no avail to watch the Colchester game, receiving a 'not available' message. Is it possible that this is because I live an hour or so from Colchester? Am I likely to have more success for the Northampton game? Any help gratefully received.

Isn't it available in the UK without a visible panty network assuming its not a 3pm Saturday game?

Ah, seems to be available but asking me to create an account. I already have an account for audio commentary. Do I not use the same one?
