Never let it be said that Reg is stuck in the past ...
It's OK though, even if it came to pass we'd go up - you get 3 points for a win now.

The fact that we were ahead of our time with that side was classic Town.... under 3 points for win we go up, but it was Shrews who did using the old win at home, draw away model... it was to promote a more attacking game lime how we played then that got the 3 points change into the game. Real shame a lovely side on its day, showed by the followng season getting so close to a second LC final.

If it was 3 points for a win that season we would have gone up on goal difference edging out eventual title winners Shrewsbury who would have finished 4th.

So, with Hope now onboard, is that him out left and Woolery up top? It's where he wants to play. Isgrove right and DJ behind Woolery. Pacey team, but lacking the hold-up ability I think.
Two from Grant/Doughty/Rose in the middle.
Maybe Baudry back, but two central defenders nonetheless. Maybe Broadent can give Pope some stick if he keeps his place and we won't have a central defender next to him who Port Vale can just let have the ball knowing a bad pass is coming.

Pope has just been given a one-match ban for being a twat on Twitter. No clue if it's immediate, or in the league.
Would be a bonus.
Stoke Sentinel is saying that he misses the Town game.
