I hate Oxford as much as the next Town fan but that song about Martin Aldridge was fucking disgraceful and made me cringe.
Also the "kick his fucking head in" monstrosity that used to surface from time to time
As a kid I didn't know the story behind the Martin Aldridge chant and thought it was just a stupid song. When I found out it was based on a tragedy, it made me reeeal uncomfortable. If we could repurpose the tune it's sung to though, that'd be good Sent from my CLT-L09 |
