For about the 100th year in a row (some exaggeration possible), Marcus Cassidy and his team have won the IOG Professional Groundsmen team of the year award. Well deserved.

There's a joke about him being helped by the pitch being regularly fertilised by organic compounds in there somewhere...

Our pitch is a thing of beauty. Well deserved Marcus and team. I thought crawleys pitch looked nice last saturday it reminded me of ours.

He has been approached by a couple of clubs but turned their offers down.

They have recently been using some kind of solar lamp on the pitch (/Town End goal mouth) overnight, is this a new thing?

Maybe they're starting a cannabis farm in the Town End goal #alternateRevenueStreams

Yes it is, only a handful of clubs are using it.
