It was his birthday today. It was announced over the PA system before the game. Hope he was there knashing his teeth at millionaire Power.

The Macclesfield forum is pretty quiet, but this comment stood out.

I remember similar comments from other fans when PDC was managing us in this league.
Sometimes you just know. There aren't 3 teams better in this league, there isn't even on one. It's obvious.
Seriously though...Where's Reg?

And for the 498th time, Reg is not Paul Plowman. Fuck me, you don't half like to persist in being wrong don't you?

also forgot to say Iandolo did well, and Anderson is playing like a different player.
Absolutely. As someone who said at the start of the season that we couldn't carry both Woolery and Anderson so one of them had to go and we should keep Woolery I take great pleasure in admitting I was completely and utterly massively wrong. Thank God Wellens could see the player in Anderson that I, and tbf a few others, couldn't, Felt for the sponsors trying to pick a Man of the Match today, may as well just have stuck a pin in the teamsheet, couldn't fault any of them

That was done today without Lyden, Dulang dulang dulang, Doughty, Fryers, and Woolery. Strong squad, on top of the 11 starters.

Quality goals today. Three points, clean sheet, no bookings or injuries. Nigh on perfect result.

So good to have a squad again and to have confidence in the players to make a contribution.  Seems to me they're all happy to be here too.  Let's keep this up, Isgrove's substitution was one of the best feelings I've had at football for ages.

Indeed, although if you'd told me when I was a teenager that in 35 years time I'd be stood wildly "singing" a Spandau Ballet song at a Swindon game, I'd have looked at you a bit funny.

Quite.  He seems to like it though.

Spandau Ballet had some pretty decent songs to be fair. Gold was without doubt the best.
