It's a cup game... it's been a while since we'd expect anything other than a loss, but who knows perhaps we might get a surprise and go through.

Very winnable game, especially if Colchester rotate their team as well. Hopefully the players who come in will be eager to impress and their performances reflect it.
No biggie if we go out but definitely wouldn’t do any harm to carry on the winning run
Depending on team news the 5/2 price could be good value given our away record over past 12 months

Pre match taking the competition seriously in The Purple Dog. Had a go at the local mockney patois at the bar, something along the lines of 'Greetings brother, a pint of your finest ale or whatever, isn't it' Failed miserably. Maybe they just don't talk proper, like what we do.
Our recent record in the LC has been even more piss poor than in the FA Cup. Four straight first round losses, albeit two of them were very creditable efforts away at "big" clubs.
Should be a case of just going for it tonight, regardless of selection. There's no other way.

League cup and FA Cup games are not on ifollow which is a shame, as Col U away midweek with a largely understrength team is a difficult one to justify going to.
It'll be because foreign TV networks have purchased exclusive rights to broadcast games.

My first game...missed Saturday due to holiday.
Down in the locale for work.
I will always want us to go through and get a Prem team away and out...we will see though.
I would trade a loss for a win at Exeter, im going to that one too!

You know it's an evening kick-off right?

Hoping for a run in this one. Gives a number of summer recruits a chance to stake a claim. Can see the manager's point in the league being priority, but win one or two in the league cup and things get interesting, in terms of profile, possible TV game or much needed gate receipts from a top prem side. Fingers crossed for progress tonight...

Would have driven from Swindon, but was down in Brighton for a gig last night so thought it would be better to cut the corner and make a day of it in sunny Colchester. Beats trundling along the M25 & A12. All good fun.

This has defeat written all over it so i’m going for another win unlikely as it is. Plus I wouldn’t be surprised at a stronger team than the blasé attitude towards this tie suggests.

Was going to surprise the wife and divert via dover, but got held up in bad traffic outside Paris this morning. Probably for the best regarding black eyes etc. 2-1 win
