Actually looking again, it wasn’t so much pure pace as poor defending, letting him get goalside.
I havent watched either goal/penalty again yet but you are probably right. Well deserved though and I am shocked its only 63% possession first half as I would have said way more than 70% at least, Oldham have only shown a little on the break we have passed them off the pitch so far.

Just watched both goal events again, yes the defending is awful for the pen and the defender could have walked for that, Koiki definately at fault for not picking up the scorer after LMc made the initial save.

How on earth do you even create a pitch like this? It must have a concrete bed.

Played really well, finished like donkeys.

Not sure we get the best from Doughty where he is playing but we could be two in front by now.

As we have managed to get the goal you probably keep going as is for a bit, especially as we have a stranglehold on the ball.

Great ball from LMc to Bennett who finds Anderson, the ball finds Robinson who hits a 30 yarder well wide.

Robinson had time to at least get that on target.

When you look how Oldham have played you can see why Scholes bailed out early on, they have been pretty rubbish so far other than from set pieces.

Another good run by Koiki and a lovely cross but he can't find a Town player in the 6 yard box.
