Perfection is not attainable

First minute was good, last minute was good, the rest was pointless.  They are there for the taking but no idea what we are playing at.  Push our full backs onto their wing backs, nobody has any pace to get behind us.  Push the forwards players forward.  Anderson and Bennett may as well have sat on the bench in that half.  Bennett looks like a kid playing above his age range watching the game go on around him.
Bennett reminds me in build and style of play to Twine, and Twine is not good enough...enough said.

To be fair, Anderson’s piece of skill in the middle just put Woolery through one on one...

Anderson has not had a great game but he did a couple of runs which were good, hes not as bad as Bennett but its not been a good game for Anderson so far.

0-0 HT we havent played badly but we offer little up front, Grims have come for a 0-0 and to try and grab it on the break, we have not really looked under any pressure from them.

Koiki and Anderson not having good games, Woolery hit and miss, Robinson doing ok but has 2 player son him most of the time.

Bennett is a waste of space and needs replacing.

Swindon may not be too disappointed to come in at 0-0 though as they had to survive small waves of pressure from their visitors in the first 45. #stfc

Thats certainly not how I have seen it, the Grimsby forum have also said they are very lucky to be going in at 0-0 HT. I thought they rarely threatened us at all other than 2 or 3 counter attacks.

From the Grims forum...

Quote
Looking really ropey here. Lucky still to be level really - McKeown keeping us in it.

It often takes us 15 minutes to get going I just hope its one fo those sorts of days and we're not in for a whole game being pinned back like this.

Two incredible stops by McKeown - the first looked a certain goal one on one. Town's defence like statues.

Too many passengers in that first half. Not sure any town player has been above 6/10 today. Would like to see Clifton and Dennis on early doors second half - think the pitch will suit them.

Agree our midfields not in this game at all Hess and Wooly are sitting too deep and its inviting the pressure off Swindon, one of them needs to push up a bit more a spread Swindons midfield a little more. They're only playing one up top we shouldn't be this rushed at the back.

Passing aimlessly around untill they lose it going no where. When we work it down the wing we are all waiting for the cross which never comes. If your not going to cross it why waste all thoe passes for nothing. Midfield and defenders near the halfway line passing back to the goalkeeper who boots it aimlessly upfield.

Bennett 30 yard shot on target, first thing he has done.

Keith Scott "Bennett was probably Swindons best attacker first half" WTF game is he watching?

I don't know what Scott's on about. I literally had to go back and check the teamsheet to be sure he was even on the pitch.
