Can I just point out this must have been Chang Chang rather than Reg Chang as I wouldn't have wanted Jewell anywhere near cone collecting.

Didn't we already have a DoF? Wasn't the former Aston Villa bloke in that slot? Or is he the CEO?

As far as I know we have only ever had one other DoF ever and that was Sherwood. We had a sporting director I think a couple of years back who became Academy Director...Seamus Brady, is that who you thought it was? http://thetownend.com/index.php?topic=56223.0

It was reported as DoF and also reported as being Manager so who really know? The other time was under Andy King and we approached Mel Machin but he turned us down as DoF or visa versa! https://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/5384614.Machin_set_for_Swindon_post/

There have been a few candidates down the years back to probably Danny Williams, it's just what they're called at the time. Danny was General Manager I always thought it a bit of a shame that we couldn't have made use of Kingy in some sort of role, after he was sacked. Could spot a player and seemed to be able to work the deals.
