Colchester are bypassing midfield almost totally and playing down the channels with pace.

Smith making some good challenges but his long range passing is pretty poor so far today.

Much better than last week but a real lack of anything in the final third.

Romanski is very suspect though. Needs to chill out and not hack at everything.

Taylor looking a lot better with Romanski behind him covering him.

Definately.

Romanski seems to be trying to boot it long whenever it comes to his standing foot rather than swapping it with his left to find a red shirt with a shirt pass.

Just me who doesn’t mind that starting XI.

Although I didnt see it when Richards was in it.
Works as a 3-5-2 or a 4-5-1 perhaps even a 4-3-3 if needed.

McGlashan wins a header and connects with his own header making the keeper save.

Needless booking for Col U capt Prosser for a silly foul on McGlashan.

You need a mobile striker in the system. It's working with Eli in so much that he's leading the press and the midfield three have balance. He's also... Ok at holding it up.

Concur.

Richards has no place in our XI anyway - let alone in a team shaped like ours today

Norris free kick from 25 to 30 yards goes 20 yards over the bar!

As a complete aside, Kyle Knoyle is having a decent game up against Nouble. Maturing into a very good RB at this level.
