I think i remember from the radio interview (i heard it on the way home from the Macclesfield match) that whatever money we were getting from City was being paid over a three year period.

Not if the fee from Middlesborough was paid in installments, they would only have to pay any sell on from money recieved. So if its paid in 3 installments then we too would get 3 payments.
