If you’re not aware of our kit history, you can see in the link provided. Personally I would like us to change our kit, the current kit is probably the most common use of colour in the football league; a change back to the original pattern would certainly make us unique. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Swindon_Town/Swindon_Town.htm

By 1883, I assume you mean 1894-1898 ? The one that looks like a jockey kit.
Leave it is my vote.

I would hope a modern take on the original kits, I’m not advocating long sleeves and shorts made of thick cotton etc.....

I wonder why there was such a change to the green early on.

The green didn't last long as the dyes were unreliable, they ran in the rain,

I like it the was it is; Red shirts, don't particularly mind if the shorts and socks are white or red.
That said, I do like that red and black stripey number too.

I don't much like red shorts, too McMahon scouse, for my taste. The 70's campaign against black shorts proved successful.
We've never really had much of a problem with black shirts... Ironside's efforts at recruitment falling on stony ground.

I thought of Dave Bamber, he always looked particularly hangdog when the mullet got a soaking.

There were elements of wet poodle about him when it did rain!

I would like a return to the 1983-84 shirt and sponsor just because it would mightily piss off the Daily Mail!
Not a fan of the red shorts an its always nice to see a bit of green trim in there somewhere.
In terms of away shirts the black ones are always nice, but for me you cannot beat the black and blue vertical stripe (ala Inter) ones we have had!

Didn't we switch to red shorts for a while because the players complained that the white ones became see through when it rained? Presumably the material is a bit better these days.
