I think they were 5/2 with Bet365 as I was tempted to put a bit of money on it but didn't think the odds were that favourable.
hmmm that's good odds if you're going to get someone get someone to put £1mil on for you. Lets says it's 3/1 with a private broker. £4mil return. Can afford to pay a demotion bonus to people who'll stay of 50K. x 20 that's a mil. Leaves 3mil. probably enough to cover relegation and turn a profit......however this is only a theory but would speak volumes as to why no one seems to give a flying pigs tit

I'm all for a bit of healthy cynicism but the planned relegation theory is complete bollocks.
Puts that Newcastle FA Cup bet in its place, though.

Besides anything, try rocking up to a bookies and placing an early £1M bet on a team to get relegated...The "suspicious" alarm would ring all day.

It sounds ridiculous but can anyone doubt that power doesn't give a fuck about relegation.

I tried to put £200 on my dog last week with Bet365 - they let me have £20 and then cut the odds!

It's a theory not an accusation as stated. In any case, I think we all know that people in that world of "fixed arrangements" do not use their local bookies....

I can possibly believe that - as he's done fuck all to try and avoid what we've seen coming for a while. If turd polishing brings in a similar fee in L2 what's the difference to him. If he has no intention of selling up and is prepared to match playing budget with a drop in income, there is very little difference between L1 and 2.

The quality of turd may decrease, making them harder to polish... Yeah, seems unlikely I know.

Gladwin's body language for the penalty is noticeable. No preparing to sprint into the box in case there is a rebound. Just standing on the edge of the box like a lemon. It would amaze me if he wants to be at this football club at the moment, I reckon he's got too big for his boots.

Ben has always been a stroller, I remember writing something on this before drawing comparisons to similar types. Usually not trusted in English football. I'm sure he likes Luke, as he wouldn't make the same demands as a Hollowhead....but playing him and Colkett is a bit bizarre. I'd have stuck him in behind Obika or Norris as a second striker with a free role, but you can't do that with Ajose...all of which confirms what I said about imbalance in the squad after window.
