The club had to act regardless to how OTT the nationals have portrayed this.
Traore was worth an extension (perhaps not a first team place) - this'll probably end that.
Balmy is below YTS kids in the pecking order. Probably closer to an exchange student than a footballer now.
Ormonde-Ottewill has a two year deal and more promise so will probably remain.
It's amazing how often Swindon Town find themselves involved in this sort of PR silliness regardless of form, squad or regime.
It's silly and the timing is poor given current form but is it any worse than our Leeds clique out on the piss the day we got relegated in 2010/11. PdC got wind of that when he came in and they were gone. They were experienced 'pro's' on decent money rather than younger players. |

Beggars belief- would probably warrant a dismissal for gross misconduct for bringing the club into disrepute.

I suspect BOO is the problem as putting it bluntly he is potentially worth something on the transfer market, in terms of the other two I suspect they would be on their way, but it is difficult to do this if you don't sack BOO as well. Club has some good PR potential with the Daily Mail readers here, but this is offset with the potential employment tribunal position of sacking people for gross misconduct when they have not committed an illegal act - suppose depends what their contracts say and how they are legally interpreted - not sure if precedents from other clubs which will use similar contracts will also come into it! Once again a distraction and pain in the arse we could do without! |
