Very unfortunate by the sounds of it. Harsh to be banned for an honest mistake.

Absolute horse shit. She's been taking a drug normally prescribed for 4-6 weeks for over 10 years, and it's known as having properties that some athletes would desire - hence why more than 500 athletes at the European Games alone were taking it last year.

She knew she was taking it for her whole career for the benefits it gave her, and was beyond naive to not check the new list. First question, surely... are you taking any prescribed drugs? If so, check they're not fucking banned.

She and her team deserve this fall from grace, and the slack being afforded to her - I'm going to guess based on her likability and looks - is quite astounding. Would love to see the commentary if it was Serena, or a Polish weightlifter, or Kenyan marathon runner.

I thought she wrote the banned substance down without any attempt to cover it up which would point to her not knowing it was banned - unfortunate mistake.

I would have had the same opinion regarding this had it been Serena Williams but would rather have a wank where she's concerned.

My point is it's not an "honest mistake". She'd been taking it for 10+ years to gain an advantage. She then was told, by numerous organisations it was banned. She carried on taking it.

She deserves everything she gets. How anyone can feel sorry for her is beyond me.

Does she get to keep the prize money accumulated during those 10 years? If yes, then I guess it shows that drugs do pay and cheats will prosper.

From what I have heard and read about this the drug she used for 10 years was only banned in January this year so wasn't technically illegal before then (when she won all her titles etc)

I haven't read too much of what went on so apologies if I have my facts wrong. Smiley
