Some advice if going on train. The default route is via Reading and changing trains. Currently this is around £55. If instead you go via Cheltenham and then Birmingham and buy individual return tickets I.e. Swindon to Cheltenham return, Cheltenham to Birmingham return and Birmingham to Coventry return you can currently get the whole journey for £39. A small saving, and if you can get 4 of you going you can get a group saver making it cheaper still.

You can get a further train to Coventry Arena, but return trains don't start until 1 hour after the match. We shall be busing or getting a cab, it's appropriately 4 miles.
do you know what cab fare is like? there's gonna be 5 of us who need to go from station to ground

If memory serves me correctly the station is at the southern end of the city centre and the Ricoh is way north of the city, used to take a good 20 or 30 minutes to drive around the ring road depending on traffic

For those that have been before, and tips of where to drink? From the sounds of that write up above, it sounds like it's not a case of get to the ground and find the nearest pub...

Better off getting to Coventry early, plenty of pubs in the city centre.

Yeah go city centre, cab is about £12 IIRC, and then have one or two in the casino before and after, then cab back.

Ticket sales rose quite well after the Millwall game. 1,760 sold as of this morning. Looking likely we should break the 2K mark.

Another 100 sold this morning, looks like we're on for beating 2K. Not bad going.

Is it all ticket? You'd imagine there might be a couple hundred who would pay on the day.
