... playing cricket. They've been there since about 11 this morning, I wish I was a kid so I could go and join in  They lost their ball in my garden, I couldn't find it so I gave them three

Mate said that after the Old Trafford test every park they went past in Manchester was full of kids playing cricket.
The game has been threatening to come alive for quite some time.

The game has been threatening to come alive for quite some time. That's great news, hopefully it won't just be a passing phase like Rugby was. I remember playing cricket in the summers as a little'un whilst my Dad sat and watched the Ashes... nostalgia sucks

Good to hear that kind of thing. Kinda used to that living in Goatacre where cricket is a religioni but it is good to hear that people are getting more interested. It could be great for the future of the game.

The Premiership attendences are shite so far this season
i read an article by bobby robson in the papers today saying the premiership so far this season has been awful. 16 goals in 10 games, so many teams playing defensively. attendances are down because its starting to get boring. at least with our league you get some entertainment, alright its not the best quality of football but thats not the point 30+ goals in 12 games played in league 1 this weekend. i know what i'd rather be watching......
