Bath-house wrestling is exceptionally clean.

If the report is accurate, this goes right up to the top of the Russian government, which is Putin.

Take the 2018 World Cup away, which is tainted anyway after Sepp's comments a few weeks ago, it's a slap in the face for Putin.

What no World Cup for another seven years? Sad

No. There are a few countries that could hold it at short notice without spending billions on new stadia/infrastructure. (England/US/Australia/South Africa/Brazil/Germany to name a few)

Like Bill Werbeniuk in snooker...

Who apparently once drank 76 cans of lager during a match... Not sure if that was performance enhancing...
Could have been Hofmeister.(spolling)
Would need that many to get tipsy.

Why would you be extremely disinterested? Surely you'd like to see an 8 second 100 metre dash, or a boy that can swim faster than a shark? Let them take whatever they want!

I agree. What is the difference between eating a banana before a sporting event for slow release energy or taking another form of a performance enhancer. The ever changing drugs cannot be kept up with by the authorities anyway for testing. Let all performance enhancements be allowed, including prosthetic body parts. That's where we are heading anyway. No kidding.

A proper doping programme costs a million plus a year to administer. People would get very bored very quickly when it becomes only those with the finances to enter. Also at what age should people start taking these drugs to get 'talent' (gene-adapted) IDed? Start pumping your 10 year old son full of steroids, growth hormones & epo so he has a chance of making it in sport?

The cost of doing it properly mean it can be only done really well when state sponsored (Russia), with the backing of huge corporations (eg. Lance & Nike) or where wages are astronomical (Premier League etc football & top 8 tennis players).

And be prepared for him to be dead by 40, just so you could bask in his reflected glory? You (well, not you but michael and co) might say athletes would only be allowed to take "safe" drugs, but then you're right back in the world of imperfect regulation and some athletes choosing to take the risk of being caught out for the sake of glory

Was that a Freudian clit? I have no intention of pumping anyone's 10 year old son full of anything.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/34314851

This recent article about rugger contains a very revealing quote:

Quote
"There is an equation for performance in top sport: steroids for muscles, growth hormone and cortisone for recovery, EPO for red blood cells and perhaps beta-blockers for concentration,"

"You simply change the methods and quantities for each sport.

You can add in blood transfusions and strong pain killers (e.g. tramadol, although currently legal I believe, but you could argue that their usage in sport is ethically dubious) for recovery, clenbutorol and AICAR for weight loss (whilst maintaining or even increasing strength).

Any sports person (Kabaddi participants in particular) would benefit from a bit of extra juice.

Move on nothing to see here, all sorted now as there is no evidence to support the reports findings! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34773534

Apparently he needed alcohol to calm his nerves.  He used to get a grant / allowance for it as well.
