Was he in the academy setup long and what was it that made him lose interest? What position did he play?
From age 8 to 16. Didn't think he'd make pro. Thought college was a better option. Everywhere at one point or another.
Im sure Arriba will correct me if im wrong, but i think he was in the same team as Will Randall and Lee Marshall coming through the age groups.
Year above mate. Year groups get mixed up,lads play up etc so played with both loads of times and in Will's case played a lot of tournaments in a local side together during summers(very successfully I might add #winners #trophies #goals) Both Will and Lee are great lads by the way. Wish them nothing but success. |

I saw mention on social media that as well as the sale of Randall and the players sold in the summer, two players from the youth academy have also been sold for a substantial figure, is this true? If so where has that money gone?

It was (although saying at the time one had read it on social media means many will immediately be suspicious as we are aware of the work of Tans!) and good to see some flesh on the bones. Doesn't really remove the doubt of the overarching issue though, which is how much will two academy lads, who are no where near the team actually bring in short term (I suspect any deal is very limited in value up front but with some pretty handy sell on's included), I just cannot see either Power getting rich or the transfer budget ballooning due to selling a couple of academy players to Derby - if that's Powers get rich scheme we are all doomed I tell thee. |
