.....is absolute bollox in FM05.

i mean £350k is stupid.
the minute you have a good season he is gone.

at the moment i'm sitting 5th in L1 and have 19 games to go.
Parkin has Played (in all comps) 31 games and scored 24 goals.

now Pompy and Cardiff are bidding for him and i have to accept as they have offered the min release fee.

to say i'm fucked off is an understatement

I was quite lucky in that he accepted a new contract with no release clause as soon as the game started.  I have been bitten in the past by them so it is the first thing practically i do.

Unlucky!

when i started the game the first thing i tried to do was offer a new contract but he wouldn't accept. I could only offer up to £1800pw and said that STFC couldn't meet his demands.

grrrrr

Wanker hey!  Never liked the bloke  Wink

It happened to me with Rhys Evans.  Fortunately good keepers are easy to come by.  Mind you so are strikers.  Does majorly piss you off though

There are loads out there but I never buy anyone until my 2nd season at the earliest.

I am sure i loaned someone but cant remember his bloody name but he was good.  With Parkin, Fallon and Roberts I had no need for anyone else.  Then i buy Cherno Samba who is superb but everyone knows about him.

The good thing about Swindon is you can whip League 1 no problem without signing anyone as long as you get your training right to avoid fatigue.

As soon as some clubs come sniffing after Parkin offer him to them for 2million....you'd be surprised how stupid Hull City are

Tony Thorpe scored 30 plus for me in the first season.

I think thats where King got the idea to sign him.
