Sad new indeed....Kingy's PO team, would be my second favourite, STFC failure team, behind Bob Smith's 78/79....79/80 outfit, but ahead of Cooper's 14/15 year olds.

I know he wasn't everybody's cup of tea, but I liked him.
How could you not like the man who brought SSP to our team?
RIP.

RIP Kingy really sad to hear he's died so young

He came out with some ace quotes at times
I'll always remember him in socks with flip flops and a cigar!

Always a bit of a marmite manager and character.

RIP Kingy!

One of those managers that left an imprint on the Town, both good and bad, but definitely one of those to be remembered. R.I.P.

Very sad news. RIP Andy. Thanks for Super Sammy Migs, The Beast, Fallon, Sammy Igoe, Tommy Mooney Andy Gurney etc etc- some real talent and some real characters in his teams. Great memories of games like Leeds away where we gave them a real scare, thinking we were Wembley bound at Brighton and coming back from 3 down at Port Vale just about outweigh the negatives of Cheltenham away, Antoine Van der Linden at centre forward, and thinking stfc was no more away at Brentford.

He was absolutely bonkers at times. Stubborn, had his favourites and was firmly set in his ways.

But he gave us the 2003/04 season. One of my favourite failures(!) supporting Swindon - Parkin, Mooney, Fallon, Howard et al

The only season where I never missed a game home or away.
The Brighton away game still haunts me.

Shocked to hear the news. Andy was a real character around the County Ground. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which led to some interesting post match interviews but, on a shoestring budget, managed to get the 2003/4 team into the Play Offs with Brighton. He will be missed around the grounds. My condolences to his family and friends. RIP Andy.
