Really sad news. Whatever you thought of him as a manager he could bloody spot a player. If you only knew him as our manager that photograph of him on the Everton site is a bit of a shock!

He was absolutely bonkers at times. Stubborn, had his favourites and was firmly set in his ways.

But he gave us the 2003/04 season. One of my favourite failures(!) supporting Swindon - Parkin, Mooney, Fallon, Howard et al

58. Terrible, I'd wager that most of our parents are older than that.

A personal friend and devastated by the loss.
Some wonderful memories and laughs inside and outside of football with him.
I have lost a friend.
RIP Andy.

RIP smoking chimp (don't mean that critically). We had good times under him, we had bad times under him, but never dull time.

Spotted a good player did kingy, think we can all agree on that.

Was not a fan of him as a person or manager but 58 is no age, RIP.

Great scout.

I remember he suffered a heart attack back in 2009 so was on borrowed time a bit.

Up until Coops, he was my favourite manager. I kind of loved Kingy. RIP.

Wow.

It would be hypocritical of me to say I was a fan but I am absolutely genuinely shocked and saddened.

RIP.

Spot on. That night at Brighton will stay with me forever.
