I don't go often these days but the apathy on this thread towards the play-offs is remarkable. These happen once every 5-10 years if we're lucky. Surely the days we work towards as fans when going to shit games and in shit seasons. Not judging anyone, just think it's shame. Is the apathy generated by the manager? Or "poor" end to the season?
An anti-climactic past couple of months - hopes/excitement were high and we've had to keep adjusting expectations downwards. Plus the fact we've been to Wembley a couple of times within the past few years (so it's not "once every 5-10 years") and we know it's shit. And very expensive.

You have to realise that the majority on here are non-attending, grumpy halfwits.
Thank God they are not representative of the fan base as a whole.
We're still able to round up our share of plastics for a trip to Wemberley

If we got promoted there I wouldn't care how shit it is.

It strangely looks like our fans have been a bit spoilt with their wembley trips. the can't be arsed to go because we've been before and we will go again view point is incredible, we support SWINDON TOWN! Wasall have just been for the first time in their history. Similar sized to us. I think 20 other teams in this league would bite your hands off to get to wembley playoff final this year, but not us? Thankfully its a minority from this forum.

You need to note that a lot of those who go to Wembley are tourists, or the wives etc, of regular Town fans along for a day out. Which is why say for the Millwall game we took 30 odd thousand, and get 8-9 on a good day at the CG. Once the novelty wears off, especially factoring in the shitness of the place and cost etc, it's understandable.

Well of course not. But I don't think I'm alone in feeling an impending sense of doom at the prospect of another expensive wasted trip to Wembley. If we get there, I'll still go, of course I will. But I won't be travelling with the sense of anticipation and relish that I did for the bobble final, more a sense of obligation

Most people on here had completely written us off before we played Brentford, and that could easily have gone either way.

You're absolutely right and that's one of the things that gives me some hope - despite all the hype about momentum etc we'll be going into a 3-game tournament with all slates wiped clean.

Agreed - in defeat. We don't know that the new Wembley would be shit if we won though, do we? In my view, it would be bloody good value for money. It's ALL about the result, innit? No one moans about Town's comical surrender of a 3 goal lead in 10 disastrous second half minutes when we beat Leicester City at the old Wembley, I know that much.

It's ALL about the result, innit? No, I still think it would be shit. But a LOT more enjoyable at the end/on the way home

When their third went in I don't think I have ever felt so utterly gutted at a game. Thank fuck for Steve 'Tripalot' White!
