I'm guessing that is the one Reginald was thinking of but we still won the playoffs that year (and so met Flashheart's criteria) - we just weren't allowed to claim the prize.

No, Sunderland did not win the playoffs. Swindon won the playoffs at selhurst park against Gillingham.

It's all about a team that won the playoffs, but not via Wembley. Right reg?  Huh?
