Preston are in better form than both of those though. 7 of their last 8 I think they have won. They have to drop points soon though surely? Donny there for the taking on Tuesday.

When do Preston play their game in hand?

I suppose you could say it's next Saturday when we don't have a game.

That was us not too long ago. Anything can happen between now and the end of the season!

Interestingly no-one has commented on the possibility, small though it is, that should the slave traders lose their Quick Drying trophy distraction next week end, it could start a mini collapse and subsequent down turn in form. Here's hoping.

Honestly think the win or loss will be forgotten in a week.

It would be brilliant to win it of course (us that is), but ultimately its meaningless.

Just got to keep plugging away, would probably take a point on Tuesday but Donnie haven't done too well against the top sides at home.. I think? Barnsley away next week very tough for Preston. We could be 4 points off with same number of games played by next Sunday and I'd take that.

We utterly arsed up the final in 2012, didn't stop us winning the league.

There's no correct formula for these things. Sports psychology (and psychology in general) is complex, it could go either way.

Isn't that the Swindon A commissioning? Odds of them being ready to do that is probably somewhere between slim and none!

If you go by the 2 points a game theory, win at home draw away, then we are clawing back our poor run. Port Vale pulled back the 3 away defeats in a row and tonight has undone one of the home defeats. Just need to stick in there now and hope Preston drop points.

A couple of parallels with the end of last season's run in. A heavy home defeat (Wolves last year and Gillingham this year) and then we went on a run of 6 wins in 8. Finish could be as tight as 2009/10 when 4 teams had a chance of as auto on the last day.

Squeaky Bum time starts now!!!
