I'd genuinely rather eat at the Hungry Horse than experience the shit service* at the Weighbridge again.

* perhaps its now sorted

I've eaten at a Hungry Horse and it was fine.

True story.

I quite like the Hungry Horse. Its cheap food, true, but like you say its fine. Had much worse more expensive steaks elsewhere too.

I've found hungry horses to be hit or miss. When they are quiet I have had some reasonable food there. When busy some horrors. Last time at the spotted cow was awful and I ain't been back since.
I generally pay a bit more down at the sun instead now.

Service at the Weighbridge is never great, but good food and beer means it gets away with it.

Sally Pussey's is a good carvery, and if you're in RWB then the Five Bells does a lovely Sunday roast.  Worth booking a table in advance there, though, as it's a small place with not many tables!

The George at Kempsford do a decent roast, been there a few times.
You would probably need to pre-book though as it's a pretty popular place for Sunday dinner.

Only been to the weighbridge once and the food was spot on, Like people have said the service could do with some refining. A couple of the waitresses were pretty nice.
