I saw a programme about Maradona once, basically he spent the whole time slating England and supporting Boca Juniors. Then in the final scene he holds his drink up to the camera and says, "To my welsh friends, (takes a sip of his drink), to my Irish friends (another sip) and to my Scottish friends (one last sip)" And that was it. He seems to think that it was England and England alone that stood up to the Argies in the battle for the Malvina's!
Good programme though.

never liked the guy...can't stand people who think he is the best footie player ever either. good goal v england, but otherwise he is a hand balling cunt in my opinion. probably don't help that i never saw him play.

Hang on lads, yeah he might be struggling in the intelligence stakes, but to question his footballing ability is wrong. He was up there with Pele, he carried Argentina for a good number of years and was a breathtaking player to watch.
Just a shame his off field antics have diminished his reputation somewhat
