Lee Angol looks set to leave Mansfield. Grimsby have had a bid of around 100k accepted but apparently he doesn't fancy going there.

Got a fair bit of potential and can certainly play the number 9 role. Wonder if we'll go in for him.

What's he like?

Sounds like it's 95% done. But then so do all of our transfers at the moment; and then they take another 10 days.

League One Stewart Downing. IE, if he was right footed he probably wouldn't be a pro.

Tell me I'm wrong! I wanted to like him when he was here.

Lee Holmes was good for us and scored a couple of goals during a short loan spell.

Ricky Holmes may have long-ish brown hair and is apparently a pikey?!

Oh and John Obika - good one, guys! What a fucking lemon.

Just looked and he scored just over 1 goal in every 4 games for you, or 25 in 94.

For us he looks very very slow, predictable, big but not actually strong, not a 'natural finisher'. He's on track for 16 goals in 100 appearances as a striker (P30, G5). I reckon I could do better than that, and I'm shitter at football than John, so I don't know how he's managing it really.

Did I imagine him at Barnet?
