Franchise sign Agard & Gills sign Jamie O'Hara.

Fair play to Scally he really is pumping the money in to Gillingham this season. Konchesky, Wagstaff, JET, O'Hara.. must be on a fair whack between them.

O'Hara, another one of those players that had fantastic opportunity to excel (Spurs, Wolves maybe). Don't see him being much kop. Would rather have Kasim.

The fee for MKD record signing Agard is "allegedly" £750k up front with add ons to over £1m. Big fee for a L1 club.

Its getting silly isn't it, I can understand the Premier teams spunking money around due to the new TV deal, but is anyone at our level making enough money to be spending that on a player?

That must be close to a record signing in this league, can't think of many other teams that would have that financial clout ever in L1 to pay that sort of a fee, a few £500k or so. Can't remember if Wolves did a couple of years back but they were on Premiership parachute payments still if they did.

£1m seems a lot.

Posh spent £1.5M on Assombalonga.

TBF to them they'd just made a cracking return from Gayle and then they sold him for a lot more.

Only Wigan from that list.

Only 7 players have been transfered to a L1 (level) club for £1m or more.

Fair enough, I could have sworn Wigan spent over a mil on Kavanagh, likewise Fulham on Hales.

You could be mistaken in thinking Kavanagh signed for Cardiff for £1m but they were in the Championship in July 2001 at the end of their title winning season in L1, Wigan were in the Premiership when he signed for them for £400k in 2004/5.
