Fair play to the lad a very good move for him, he rang one of my mates this morning who is a big saints fan and played with Charlie in non league to tell him he was at St Mary's ready to sign.

Conor Washington to QPR from Peterborough for £3m, apparently. A poor goal record for that sort of fee. Taking advantage of desperate clubs in January is good business.

Pboro do seem to pull in some tremendous fees for an L1 club, then seem to do nothing with all the cash. What's Macanthony's trick in attracting prices we never get close to?

He'd fit in beautifully as he's a good honest lad who never cheats with no high opinion of himself. But I may be being sarcastic.

Barry Fry & not being desperate for cash. Also helps that they are selling goal scorers, they always fetch higher fees

We probably sold Luongo for 3M+ or so. Only the price appeared less because Power 'threw in' Gladwin as well to help pay less money to spurs (allegedly).

I liked him....just what we lack. Surprised at a million quid though.

Quoting massive transfer fees when £2.8m is contingent on him making 50 appearances for Russia before he's 21.

Eh, Conor Washington's Russian? Unfortunate name if so.

PBoro also sign players on long contracts, that massively boosts the price. We can't afford to do anything like that as three-year-deals even on fairly modest contracts could ruin us if a player gets injured or can't be sold.
