Charlie had offers apparently, but didn't want to join the clubs in question. He's patient enough to wait for a second chance in the prem.

A question that I didn't think I'd ask all summer - do we need him?   Huh?

Now we have so many wide options, in particular Ojamaa, Ajose, Jordan Stewart and Robert, I can't see Power taking another one on, however good he might be. We ought to prioritise developing our own players when we can, and develop other teams players when we need to plug a gap.

Having said that, I'll be disappointed if Kevin Stewart is sent back, as he seems to offer a more dynamic option in midfield.

I don't think there's any way we'll sign Kent now - which I'm fine with.

Power, being the astute wheeler dealer we now know him to be, would have had several potential replacements in mind for Nathan Byrne, two of which would have been Kent and Ojamaa. For whatever reason, he decided to put his eggs in the Ojamaa basket which I think was a good move. I would have been delighted if we'd signed Kent but from what I've seen of both, Ojamaa looks every bit as exciting.

I would agree with anyone who said that at this stage, Kent would be one signing too many.

Coventry sign Joe Cole on loan from Villa. Makes his debut against us next week i think. He might be a bit old but thats a great signing for League One
