City have made two decent loan signings today, George Savile from Wolves and Wigan's James Tavernier. They're just not competing at the same level as the rest of us financially. Something is wrong if they don't walk the league with the ease Wolves did.

But I thought City were going to sign all our loan strikers when they went back to their parent clubs.
except Smith, he is a useless carthorse

You must be mistaken, they don't do loan signings, that's cheating isn't it...

Two good players who got promoted from L1 last season. I expected both to consolidate their Championship careers with Wolves and Wigan yet here they are back in L1.
I'd be envious if Power/Cooper weren't so good in the loan market. Heck, even Bell wasn't as bad as people made out (considering he couldn't get a game at Mansfield).

But obviously not good enough for the Championship - even for a team 2nd bottom

Ultimately, they couldn't guarantee themselves a place in Swindon Town's current XI. Isn't that a lovely thought.

City have signed two excellent players for League 1 who were amongst the best at this level last season - but you do have to question why they haven't kicked on.
As for the Wolves comparison, don't see it myself, yes City have some cash but their budget and quality of squad is far behind that of Wolves last season.

I don't see anything like a comparison with Wolves. Wolves are, lets face it, a genuinely big club not just one whos fans think is massive. Also the 82ers budget is said to be £10m which is big but Wolves budget was £40m due to Premiership parachute payments and Jamie O'Hara and Dicko were on £40k pw which makes JET & Agards £15k pw sound like peanuts. No comparison.

When City put in a performance like Wolves did at our place last season then I'll listen.
That was probably the best performance I can ever remember from a league 1 team

sheffield utd bidding £1.5 million for a right back from cardiff. I fancy them to win the playoffs if the cup games dont hit them too hard.
