Went to see Jim Bowen at the Jongleurs comedy club tonight. The show was called 'can't beat a bit of bully' so the main theme was funny stories about bullseye. He did some other stuff about his time doing the comedians and spoke fondly about Bob Monkhouse and Les Dawson. He said the funniest comedian he worked with was Bernard Manning!

A great show by a legend and got my bullseye keyring signed by the great man!

There was one story he told where the darts player was a guy in a wheelchair. They were throwing for the star prize and the non-darts player got a good score, practically guaranteeing the prize. The producer saw the guy in the wheelchair wheel up to take his throw and was horrified looking at the star prize - a three piece suite. He panicked and thought this would be an insult to a man in a wheelchair. In haste, as the guy was throwing the darts he told his production team to cancel the furniture as a prize and give them the holiday - 'run the holiday tape' he demanded as the 101 with 6 darts was exceeded. The prize was won and the tape for Bully's special prize was shown.................................
