I reckon I'm getting stiffed by Sky with my bundle.

It averages around £90 monthly for Basic Sky Package + Sports, Sky Broadband and Home Phone.

I download very little and make few phone calls.

Anyone got a cheaper alternative

I'm with virgin, I am paying about £25 more, but I've got all the sports and movies, 3 boxes, and a reduction in my 3 mobiles as well and the landline has free calls to my mobiles plus a TiVo box thrown in and broadband and WiFi and free repairs if it breaks down, which is rare. Obviously you need to be in a cabled area. I think the basic package is cheaper than sky but the introductory offers from sky don't mention the landline requirements.

If you're in Swindon go see the people sat in the Brunel Plaza. Did me a deal for full TV package including sports and films, multiroom, unlimited broadband and international calls for £83

Just ring them up and tell them you're leaving and they'll knock loads off.

Seems like a good idea.

Was going to try Talk Talk for Broadband and calls and keep Sky as it is

I do that yet phone sky periodically to get my tv bill down. I'd try the "I'm leaving you"option first though.

Yeah, the "I'm leaving you for (insert rival here) " option is one I've been using with Phone companies for years to get a good deal, and I imagine Sky is similar.

I'd try that, you have to be strong as a mate of mine did the same and had to go through with it (nearly) until he got a phone call 24 hours after saying he'd cancel from the retention team who did a deal.

Do you pay extra for multi room / HD?

my sky bill is £105 a month with all the channels ( sports & movies ), landline including free calls to all landline numbers & national & local numbers ( 0845 etc ), fibre optic broadband. It also includes a £5 a month charge because my ex stiff them when my name was on the account even though I didn't live there.
