Used as a lazy arsed Yank way instead of No. (number)
There also seems to be a creeping increase of < and > on the forum as well

The American way of prefixing "number". As in UK: "number six" or "no. 6", US: "#6"

Sorry, changed the poll wording as it was a bit biased. I have made it completely polarised now

There are two opinions being sought here in one poll. Neither is dependent upon the other. But both came up in one conversation. First question: do you love or hate tattoos on girlies? Second question: do you love or hate the use of the American # symbol instead of the tradition UK 'no.'? Answers on a postcard. Or alternatively vote in the poll. No, you are not dense, perhaps I should have prefaced the question better

Tattoos on girls are like TEF posters. Mostly dreadful, but the good ones make it worth looking.
I love you guys really.
And the hash/number thing I never even realised was American. I like it, sorry.

I have heard of cheesy chips but never your nirvana of cheesy peas. Do you think that there might be a market opportunity there?

I just like girls. The greater the # of them the better.
