MASSIMO Luongo is still waiting to find out whether or not he will be part of the Australia squad for the World Cup.

If I l've worked the timelines out correctly, it'll be announced at around 1320 today.

Wouldn't it be great if he made it.

You have and whatever happens Spurs reserves -> Australia 27 in a year is pretty impressive.

I don't expect him to make this cut but you're quite right. Great achievement to catch the eye of the Aussies in a World Cup year.

I'd love him to go too. Unfortunately the competition for a place in the Aussie midfield is probably the hardest. So I fear the worst (best for stfc I suppose).

We'll see.

 Woot Jumping

I debated the morality of supporting the Convicts, with a Town supporting mate in pub on Saturday. His take it is wholly unacceptable under any circumstances....my take he's our player, so we have to support him until such time as he's no longer our player, and if that means rooting for the Convicts so be it.

Australia are in a tough group and in my prediction competition I have them to finish dead last.

I doubt he'll get much if any game time but still good to have representation. Preston's Bailey Wright is in the squad too.
