Just reading, unbelievably, that there are 3 teams in the Conference whose ST prices are higher than Man City's and that Arsenal's cheapest ST is £998.
Just wondering what price level would stop you going.
Personally, I go on a game to game basis and the £25 I pay at the moment is just about the maximum for me

I guess its the most expensive conference sides v the cheapest at Man City (which must still be quite high). Interested to hear which 3!

Given the fact the club will read this, let's start off at £100.

Man City run a scheme called the Value Gold Season Ticket.... Value Gold
We know you love City, but we also understand that times are tough. That’s why we offer our Value Gold Seasoncard.
Available from the 20th May, it gives you all the benefits of Gold for just £299. The only difference is that we allocate you a new seat once the renewal window has closed – it could be in any stand, on any level, but you can still choose from the same great range of add-ons.
Value Gold is limited and is allocated on a first-come first- served basis. We think it’s the best value in the Premier League. But that’s only what the best fans deserve. We think our Value Gold Seasoncard is the best value in the Premier League. Exactly what the best fans deserve. It gives you all the benefits of Gold for just £299.

Available from 9am, Wednesday 14th May online, via telephone (0161 444 1894 option 1, option 1)* or in person. Limited availability. No concessions. Not available on Direct Debit. Seems like a damn good idea for the more "hard up" fan. Brizzle Rovers most expensive season ticket for next year is apparently £410 in the West Stand.

It does indeed, but as I suggested hardly comparing like for like.

But back on the OP's original point, lower league football *is* way too expensive. Was talking about this with a Dad at my lad's training last night, one of the biggest deterrents for young fans even is that while they can get in for free £25 is always going to put off the casual fan - "Dad, Dad can we go to the football on Saturday?" "Sure son, let me see how much it is.... 25 quid? For 3rd division football?? Sod that...."

It's already there for me. After about 8 years straight of season tickets I made the decision not to bother this year. The last few years had been tight on money but the football was good and it was that enjoyable for me that I could justify it. I knew Jed was a clown from the off and had a feeling I'd have buyers remorse come Christmas.
I still made maybe 15 home games last season, but about three of those were cheap tickets in the JPT and a lot were contributions of friends season tickets who couldn't make it. I must have paid 'full price' maybe twice or three occasions tops. Even then it was in The Town End at £19 as opposed to the £25 option.
I made 4 away games last season which for me is pitiful, but the ticket prices away vary.

I can only make 12 or so home games a season cos of work.
What I would like is if the club could issue some sort of ST which has, maybe, 12 games on it which could be used at the holder's discretion.
And if I want/need to go to more than the 12 I'd be more than happy to pay full price.
A 12 game ST for about £180 would work for me and the club would get a few quid in advance

There are a few in lg1 ( whose names escape me now ) that do something similar in ticket blocks of 6 or so

You see this sort of thing a lot in American sports. Discounts for buying a bundle of tickets at once like 8/10/12 should definitely be looked at.

Indeed, although the choice of games isn't at the holders discretion. It's set in advance so the club know what games the seats are free to sell to other people for.
