Stephens > Hall.

I wonder if we could do a similar thing with Southampton that we did with Spurs this season?

Yes please. Him + a semi experienced Troy-esque defender and I think we could reverse some of the defence issues we've had this season.

It would seem so on the evidence so far. Not all down to him, but since he arrived after we got spanked by Wolves, we're third in the form tables and have only conceded 3 in 6.

Think of the fairly recent games when we went a goal up only to chuck it away.

Off the top of my head Crawley, Dongs, Posh and twice at Brentford away

On reputation alone, I hope Swindon have a Spurs-type relationship with Southampton. Bournemouth don't need them no more!

I would rather we don't have a relationship with one single club and instead try and cherrypick loanees from different clubs. Less chance of dressing room cliques disrupting things and less Tottenham reserves jibes from other fans.

Couldn't give a damn what other clubs think (as long as we're not breaking rules)

There will always be 'cliques', I think people make a big deal out of them. Successful clubs have 'cliques' but it's only mentioned as an excuse when teams are losing.

Did I not read somewhere that (Power), was in discussions with a PL team to have a similar arrangement that we do with Spurs?

He said a while ago that one or more clubs were interested in sending players to us because of the Spurs link; I wondered whether one of them was Norwich due to his history with them and the signing of Murphy around that time
