I went for JMac but I do like Byrne and think he's been decent this season.

Not an insult at all.
We can only judge him during his time at the CG and from last season to this he has improved immensely.

I couldn't stand Byrne last season, he was a liability, but he has improved this season and is a reasonable player when kept away from Left Back.
The big surprise for me has been Troy's re-emergence, disliked by the fans and I did not think we would see him again but he has come in and looked superb. Not that he looked a bad player last season, Macclesfield aside.

I agree totally, I mentioned this pre season, he just needed a run in the team in a position he knows. I think Byrne could turn into a half decent winger given a run in the team and playing in a familiar constant position rather than being a utility player, he needs to know his best position and stick to it then he could do well, he was/is young and inexperienced and can develop as long as he can stop the silly mistakes from lack of concentration.
