Cooper impressed with Louis’ reaction

LOUIS Thompson’s impressive second-half performance against Wolves on Tuesday night was inspired by abuse he received from a minority of the Swindon Town faithful, boss Mark Cooper has revealed.

Only Swindon fans could abuse a player warming up during the half time interval

Abusing one our better performers is a new low even for the more moronic sections of our fanbase.

...And aim it towards one of our most honest players as well.

I'm not even remotely surprised. My dad used to tell me that one guy once shouted at Duncan Shearer, "You're useless Shearer, all you do is score".

Abusing a young player who gives it everything and came through our own youth system says it all. Absolute fucking cunts.
Pook got stick all the time. Macklin another one I remember getting it too.
Those who do that aint fans. They need a fucking good slap

Macklin got it on his debut at home, after about 3 minutes.

Totally agree with you, hope Louis realises it's only a minority.

Anyone know what was said?
I can't understand how a lad who is having a very good season could get abuse. This really does plumb new depths imo

I'm feeling increasingly disconnected from STFC and it's the 'fans' that are to blame. What utter fucking idiots.

If our own fans abuse one of our best upcoming talents who has been also one of our most consistant performers on the pitch of late then theres no hope, these idiots should not be allowed anywhere near the ground on matchdays.

I do despair.

Sadly reading that doesn't surprise me in the slightest, there are some right simpletons that go and watch Swindon.

(I'm sure its the same up and down the country at football grounds that said)
