I remember a game vs Grimsby in about 96/97. We were 1-0 up with a 'wonder strike' from Sky pundit Kevin Watson when the game was called off due to a frozen pitch.

The wind and rain outside is really fucking nasty.

Good job I'm inside with a roaring fire and Dominos on the way.

There's far too much calling games off for the slightest girly reason

Are you here?  The ball is going to go nowhere in these winds.  Should have been postponed.

They'll make no money tonight.  There's prob 4,000 here if that.  Hardly any of the ST holders by us are here.

Rubbish, football should be played in most conditions. So it's a bit windy, keep it on the deck and adapt to the conditions.

The postponement of matches at the slightest bit of wind, rain, snow is a reason the game is slowly getting more and more shit like.

Were you at the leyton orient match, cup match I think in 92 (ish). Freezing cold shite first half, we stand through the half time break, pa announce, net says match will carry on, then 5 mins into second half it gets abandoned. In fairness the players could hardly stand up as the ground was lie concrete.

Never been so cold at a match than that night.

I have to say, I could not possibly agree more - it's one of many, many reasons sadly Yes

It's more than "a bit windy" with "the slightest bit of rain" out there.
