Town have stood up to their bullies

LOUIS Thompson believes Swindon’s new-found resilience on the road is starting to change the football world’s perception of the Robins as they bid to find the perfect ‘promotion formula’.

I haven't read the article but I do think Cooper has put more steel into the side and with Smith and Ranger up front we can mix it more. We still appear to be soft as shite at the back, hopefully Troy can add some Spartan steel!

Smith and Ranger up front worked brilliantly on Saturday. We weren't hoofing it up to them, but we used them as target men and played off them as they held the ball up. Definitely something that's been lacking at times.

As for the defence, we were actually pretty solid at the back on Saturday bar a couple of clumsy moments. They're what's costing us dearly this year.

Our goals did look to come from flowing moves with the ball on the ground.

The goals conceded were too easy. Ward got turned inside out and Troy was too slow to react to Doug Loft running in and the second one, I guess was bad luck.
