Pretty sure we were losing and Thorne equalised with an absolute worldy (fluke). I remember being on my old man's shoulders.
My brother in law was in the home end (supporting town)

One of the best away followings given the context of a weekday night game and a wanky competition (Simod Cup) was Luton away.
Never felt so crushed at a ground since the 4-3 Arsenal game at the CG

I went to the cup game at Chelsea when about 500 town fans stood in the huge open away end out of a crowd of 7500. It was about -30c, and I had a denim jacket, no hat and no gloves or scarf. What a twat. It was the game when hazard missed that could have taken the game to extra time. I think someone swallowed their tongue that night too.

Cracking game that Wank stadium and the plastic pitch but a great game Of course if Bamber had played to the whistle it would have been even better

Why oh why oh why do you bring this up? Every year or so someone brings this up! I'm still bitter and scared. Still haven't forgiven Les Sealey - eventhough he's dead!

Couldn't care less about them. They're in the same ball park as Forfar or Colchester in my give a toss-ometer. They hate Aldershot anyway so no need for them to hate anyone else. They tried a few years ago to invent a hatred between themselves and us or Scum and there's not many things us and the Scummers agree on but Reading being irrelevant is one.
But don't you just love the way that everyone ignores them ? Used to have some fun at Elm Park though. They had a system, which seems unbelievable in this day and age - the police would quiz you to death at the entrance to the "uncovered" away end, to prove you were from Swindon. Then you could pay 50p to go through an internal turnstile into the "covered" home section. They then used to look on bemused as it all kicked off in the Reading section.

He did play to the whistle (as did the Luton Keeper). Unfortunately the whistle was from some cunt in the crowd. That was probably the most packed away end I can remember watching Town away. Not due to numbers, just the total lack of any space to move around it was mental.

But if you remember, Les Bastard Sealey looked round after Bamber gave him the ball and gave it large to the crowd. I'm not bitter. I'm not. Honest I'm not. Really. I'm not!

I might be mistaken but I thought Bamber took a half hearted shot, & Sealey just stuck a leg out and diverted the ball for a corner (because he thought it was offside too)

Ipswich awsy when we lost 6-1 in the cup was great for the Town atmosphere.

Mansfield away when we won the league was close and there were a couple at Scumland that were pretty bad a 1-1 draw and when that cunt Bumchum scored.

I can still see Mark Walters 'doing' Beauchump in the centre circle at the CG with the ball nowhere near!
