Reminds me of us. Our team on paper was too good to go down and we always knew we'd be ok. I look at shitty and think how good their team is and that going down is not possible.

I'd love it if a club as unbelievably huge as shitty were to grace league 2 with their presence, bringing with them their masses of sophisticated fans who don't sound anything like thick farmers.

Reality is, that there isn't a huge amount of difference between teams down the bottom and teams around us....for example we've lost to Stevenage, Sheff U and Shrewsbury, all in the bottom 4.

We've lost the same amount of games as Shitty....it's about small margins, which is why the wins v Cov, Posh and Shrews have been so important, on the balance of play, all 3 could have ended in draws or worse, but we managed to find a way to win, riding a bit of luck.  I daresay Shitty fans could find a few games where perhaps they should have won, but only drew, becasue Flint scored a last minute OG or gave away an added on time pen.

Reg, I know you're working hard on developing this reputation as the doomsayer of the forum but the idea that there's not much to chose between us and City because we've lost the same amount of games really doesn't add up.

There's a 17 point gap between the two sides for a bloody reason, and that reason is that we've won 3 times as many games as them. That doesn't happen because of a couple of lucky results.

17 points...seems a lot, but reality is that it's 3 wins either way....in other words take 3 wins off us add 3 wins on them and they're a point above, or alternatively had Ranger not scored the last minute winner v them at the CG, and they'd won 2 more and we'd lost 2 more we'd be 2 points better off.

Lot of ifs and buts there Reg, you can do that to compare any 2 teams in the league. If we got the 3 points we deserved from humping Wolves etc etc

27/28 games is enough of a sample size to establish that 2 teams 17 points apart aren't too close in standard.
