I could never get over his total lack of professionalism. i.e Twitter, trying to be everyones mate, #rooooaarr, etc

Absolutely right lee (although not sure about the "not expecting any" bit, that's yet to be seen), but the point is that just because someone works hard and has a nice line in chat (and that's extremely debatable) doesn't mean they're any good. As I said above, I suspect that both we and he dodged a bullet when Power came in and took over, even if Jed doesn't see it that way. Although whether we've dodged one bullet just to step into the path of a howitzer is also yet to be seen. If I was a Kiddy fan, I'd be extremely alarmed to see a Jed emboldened but not enriched by his time here eyeing my club up.
See that is the thing...i never once said he was good for the club, just that he worked hard and compared to others who have come and gone not such a bad egg in comparison. As for the twitter argument he took a lot of flak on there, some real nasty stuff at times so being matey on there as well has to be seen both ways.

Sure, my comment was aimed at the overall topic of the thread i.e. a Kiddy fan asking if he'd be good for them.

Absolute bellend and a proven liar.
I think that's a good summary. Also expect everything to be under a Non Disclosure Agreement.

I didn't mind Jed. He tried his best for the club, but was clearly out of his depth here.
He let himself down with his twitter comments, as a club shouldn't communicate its updates via that channel.
I met him and his lady friend in the local pub and had a good chat with him. He seemed pretty open and answered the questions I asked.

Virtually ALL league one clubs use twitter to communicate updates and many many things, both important and trivial. The difference is its the clubs official accounts not the chairmans. Towns official account is dead compared to the vast majority of other clubs in this division. Not that any of that excuses Jeds use of the medium.

FWIW, I think the twitter thing is a side issue. Yes it was unprofessional and made him, and so by extension the club, look a bit of a nob. But that was the least of my concerns tbh - the "being a patently out of his depth bullshitter who damn near handed the club over to a boiler room scam artist if they hadn't fallen out" aspect was of slightly more concern IMO.

Although not official we do have Sam on twitter, who posts far more info than most clubs external channels.

Agree with this Sutton, Sam provides Town fans with excellent updates via Twitter in my opinion. It does sound like Lee Power appreciates this and does give Sam updates for the fans which I personally appreciate. Although the child in me did enjoy Jed's cryptic clues for signings. Reis and peas was it?

Ironically, he hasn't posted today. Some news coming worth waiting for? Or overslept after a night on the shant?
