A chancer without a pot to piss in (relatively speaking) or any experience of running a pro football club but sought to compensate for that by having a reasonable line of geezer patter and appeals to "passion" which went down well with some of our fans on twitter. He and we probably got lucky when he brought in Power* esp when you look at one of his earlier attempts at finding an investment partner, the shady boiler room scam artist who arrived and left under slightly underexplained circumstances.

Harmless? Hmm. He's not harmful in the sense of being malicious, but he's a little bit wooaahhh, a little bit weeeaahhh and there's a lot of damage can be done by well-meaning chancers who are out of their depth.

* at least so far

Great with the fans, and seems to make things happen, maybe not your archetypical chairman/owner, but we've had far worse for sure.

Tans is spot on, don't believe a word he says, wears his heart on his sleeve but best suited to footy in the very much lower leagues, Banbury being as high as he should be allowed to go.  He lied to me, I was one of those prepared to give him a chance but he blew it all in a radio interview - again just telling the fans what they wanted to hear.

Haven't got a problem with the bloke, he did the best he could and that's all you can ask for.

@JedMcCoy: Nile should stay best number 9 in the division just needs a kick and a cuddle 😁gotta stick with him he will come good .. IMO ...

Don't disagree with this either. If the Manager has had enough then so be it.

What sums Jed up for me was this. On his first home game in charge he tweeted a picture of his motor parked in the County Ground carpark. It was a Bentley with his personal number plate on.

Only problem was, the Bentley had been hired and he's transferred the numberplate from his own, less impressive car.

That was Jed all over, flashy statement, bit of playing to the gallery but ultimately no substance to back it up.

He's not malicious but any fan who doesn't take everything at face value and reads between the line  will be left baffled a lot of the time

Got to say that he worked hard when with the club...he saw an opportunity here(like countless others..Brady,Hunt etc)...nothing wrong with that and have to say that he did his best in difficult situations.
My only problem is that he is a business man and his pretence at supporting the town used to knark me.
No doubt we will see him soon supporting another club...but as i say we have had a lot worse here raking in the dosh without no effort going in....he did work hard on behalf of the club in my opinion.

Difference is that Jed has left the club...taking no money with him and not expecting any and the club is in a much better position than when he arrived...so you cannot compare him in any instance to those two in my view

Absolutely right lee (although not sure about the "not expecting any" bit, that's yet to be seen), but the point is that just because someone works hard and has a nice line in chat (and that's extremely debatable) doesn't mean they're any good. As I said above, I suspect that both we and he dodged a bullet when Power came in and took over, even if Jed doesn't see it that way. Although whether we've dodged one bullet just to step into the path of a howitzer is also yet to be seen. If I was a Kiddy fan, I'd be extremely alarmed to see a Jed emboldened but not enriched by his time here eyeing my club up.

A vain bullshitter lacking in gravitas or substance, even for a Conference club with some ambition.

May be effective as a board member able to make interesting business suggestions and energise local enthusiasm and sponsorship and could probably do a "Chairman's" job at Conference North or South levels.

May rip you off to subsidise his modestly flash lifestyle but is no shark imo.  Above all, enjoy trying to guess what is TRUE and what isn't

Got to cut through all the waffle, and see what's left, which to be honest is not a lot. But without meeting the bloke, it seemed like his heart was in the right place, but as other have said, he is not your typical chairman ilk, more like a lad down the pub. Weather you want that in a chairman is another matter.

He's totally profesional and without him this club would be dead he is a throughly nice chap who always speaks the truth and is happy to communicate with fans wherever he may meet them, he was always happy to use social media to connect with fans and he would never dream of having a fallling out with the local media and playing them of against each other.

He even took the club without doing any due dilligence that shows what a great bloke he is.

If he leases bentley's in the club's name then this would only be for the good of the club and the local community as he is putting money into local company's from the club.

If he is interested in your club then you should embrace him and welcome his bag men that he will bring along with promises of investment I'm sure they will be good for your club as they would be associated with Jed.

He will probably do a good job as chairman manager as well.

He hasn't got/didn't have much money which is why the general consensus is one not too great.

If he'd have had money and been prepared to invest it in STFC then most of us wouldn't have given a shit about his laddish behaviour/use of social media etc etc.
