Hi,

Kidderminster Harriers fan here and I am hearing a lot of rumours about this guy taking over our club. Obviously he has been heavily involved with you until last month. Is he a good guy? or just another ass trying to make a fast buck?

We have just sacked one of the best non league managers and replaced with a nobody Andy Thorn. If my sources are correct he was interviewed for the swindon job some time ago too?

Thanks in advance

UMM, He came in when nobody else would, then found someone with some money , who may or may not help moving forwards. That someone ( Lee Power ) has subsequently kicked him and his mates out. I suppose you could say if he hadn't jumped in when he did we would have gone into Administration which would have been a disaster. Saying all that I think his intentions were honourable. He was just way out of his comfort zone / depth.......... Ask him yourself on Twitter. He loves a good TWEET.................

Interesting chap. Seemed to have his heart in the right place but he wasn't exactly rich nor did he come over particularly professional. Keen on Twitter (@jedmccoy) and fairly illiterate.

Not the saviour but definitely not the worst owner floating round the football leagues, that's for sure.

Interesting that he's made his Twitter private. He seemed borderline obsessed with it all.

Sorry bout that. Just noticed he has gone all twitter shy ( Only accepting confirmed requests to look at his tweets ). He used to be quite prolific. In fact it was the only form of communication he seemed to be capable of ...............

Fair assessment in this thread so far. My personal opinion is he was a bullshitter, good at telling people what they want to hear.

But I am not convinced that he intended to bullshit in a milliscious way, it more came across as a mix of trying to avoid panic and (over) self promotion. He came in after we'd been on a hell of a (expensive) ride under Di Canio, so whatever he did that didn't live up to that era was always going to be under fan scrutiny.  So you an sort of understand it.

My biggest criticism is he didn't really communicate properly. Lots of "roooooar" (see Twitter), but not much substance. Asking too much, maybe, or maybe he was making up the business plan as he went along. Who knows.

Was his ownership good, bad or indifferent. Well I'm glad somebody stepped in to prevent administration that's for sure. Ask me again in a year or two when I work out whether we have been blessed or cursed with Power in charge!

He never really did anything wrong, but came across as a bit of a wide boy with no money who liked being centre of attention.  Communication skills weren't the best and information seemed to be spouted to fans in local pubs or on social media rather than using the more conventional routes.  Imo, this made him look a bit unprofessional as a League 1 Football Club Chairman.  This divided the fanbase slightly, some saw no issue, others thought he made the club look silly.

Difficult to know what would have happened if he hadn't taken us over, but he seems to have done reasonably well out of it.
